Common questions
Is there an application fee?
No. Entry is free. There is nothing to pay to apply or to take part.
Can I enter as a team?
No. Entries are individual, and each person may submit one abstract about their own work.
My project is still in progress. Can I apply?
Yes. Describe what you are doing and what you expect to find or achieve.
How are entries judged?
Two reviewers score each abstract without seeing your name or university. In the preliminary rounds and the Grand Final, judges score how clearly you explain your work, why it matters, and how well you engage the audience.
What happens if my internet fails during the preliminary round?
You get one retry at the end of your session. If that also fails, you may send a single-take phone recording of your talk within two hours.
Will GISEB cover travel to the Grand Final?
No. GISEB does not cover travel or accommodation for finalists, so please plan how you will get to the University of Ibadan for the Grand Final.
